White Kitchen, White Home

rie.JPGNot only is the kitchen white, but most of the home is white too. With accents, texture and little bits of color, it adds up to a gorgeous look. The home we see, today, is my cousin's home, just down the road from the Queen's summer castle in Denmark!

So, yes, we have another white Scandinavian kitchen...we cannot have too many, I think. Enjoy the tour of my cousin's home. She has two small children, and the woman you see in one of the images is her mother, preparing dinner. Oh, the house is 150 years old.

Please enjoy this slide show and tell me what you think!

I totally want a white kitchen. White marble..! Ack, can't afford it!

I hear you Maryam! This one will not be a fast remodel for the same reason. I don't want the stress of doing it beyond my financial comfort level. So, we'll see where that fits and when. White marble is always beautiful. Love it.

White on White. Is there any other way?

White on White it is. Is there any other way.

After reading this white kitchen, white home blog, I am leaning towards keeping my kitchen the way it is.
When I bought my home 2-1/2 years ago, the entire space throughout the house was white and still is (except for the kitchen countertops, splashback tiles and floor tiles which are all grey and hardwood floors everywhere else) but of late I've been itching for some colour but I'm now rethinking the possibilities and will maybe look at other ways to introduce some colour (that "punch" of colour that I've been reading about in some of the other Scandinavian kitchen blogs maybe!).

P.S. My house is somewhere between 110-120 years old too...not quite as old as Rie's lovely home, but the old girl is getting up there in years!

Anrosh, I neglected you, sorry! I'm so glad you enjoy white on white. I do too.

Elizabeth, it's always a tough one. If you're like me, you can appreciate many different looks, and to choose just one is so hard. I'm currently deciding if I should paint the floors in my apartment white as well as the walls. It could be something so different for me and my husband that, that coulud be the reason in and of itself. This way, too, yes, colors of special items "pop" more than they might otherwise. Just thinking...and, your house sounds like it must have lots of charm. Thanks for your comment.
